چکیده

We calculate the tunneling conductance spectra of a normal metal / insulator / triplet superconductor from the reflection amplitudes using the Blonder-Tinkham-Klapwijk (BTK) formula. For the triplet superconductor we assume one special p-wave order parameter having line nodes and two two dimensional f -wave order parameters with line nodes breaking the time-reversal symmetry. Also we examine nodeless pairing potentials. The tunneling peaks are due to the formation of bound states for each surface orientation at discrete quasiparticles trajectory angles. The tunneling spectra can be used to distinguish the possible candidate pairing states of the superconductor Sr2RuO4.

We study tunneling conductance of a graphene based normal metal-insulator-superconductor (NIS) junction with Corbino disk structure. Solving Dirac-Bogolioubov- De Gennes (DBdG) equation in different regions of the junction and employing scattering approach we obtain normal and Andreev reflection coefficients of the junction. Using Blonder-Tinkham-Klapwijk (BTK) formula we calculate tunneling co...

Effects due to unconventional pairing in transport through a normal metal- superconductor-normal metal hybrid junction

We explore transport properties of a normal metal-superconductor-normal metal (NSN) junction, where the superconducting region supports mixed singlet and chiral triplet pairings. We show that in the subgapped regime when the chiral triplet pairing amplitude dominates over that of the singlet, a resonance phenomena emerges out where all the quantum mechanical scattering probabilities acquire a v...

Influence of impurity scattering on tunneling conductance in normal metal – d - wave superconductor junctions

Tunneling conductance spectra between a normal metal / d-wave superconductor junction under the presence of bulk impurities in the superconductor are studied. The quasiclassical theory has been applied to calculate the spatial variation of the pair potential and the effect of impurity scattering has been introduced by t-matrix approximation. The magnitude of a subdominant s-wave component at th...

Tunneling conductance of normal metal/insulator/Sr2RuO4 junction

A theory of tunneling conductance spectra for normal metal/insulator/Sr2RuO4 junction is studied theoretically. We assume several types of pair potentials with triplet symmetries that are promising candidates for Sr2RuO4. The calculated conductance spectra show either zero bias peaks or gap like structures depending on the orientations of the junctions. The existence of a residual components in...

Zero bias conductance peak (ZBCP) is known to occur in junctions between normal metal and conventional superconductor. This phenomenon is conventionally explained by Andreev reflection of the tunneling electrons at the interface and the ZBCP

normal metal and conventional superconductor. This phenomenon is conventionally explained by Andreev reflection of the tunneling electrons at the interface and the ZBCP height is limited to less than double of the normal conductance at higher bias. However, BSCCO is different from other conventional superconductors because of the d-wave characteristics of the order parameter. There are several ...
